Educational Awareness Programme

Most of the people in rural areas of our targeted blocks are daily labors and having poor knowledge about education. Most of them are getting very low wages which is insufficient to their day to day lead. Most of the people make their children as their assistant for their day to work. The financial aspects are the important drawback to handicap them to send their children. More over all of them also unaware about the assistance and such as free education, free uniforms and scholarships provided to the school going children.

We also find this fact from our survey conducted in  Kallikudi and T.Kallupatti blocks. The result in survey takes the truth that financial aspects are stand in first for the rural Community to offer the education to their children. Our organization has conducted the awareness programme about the importance of education and its impact. We also conduct the counseling programme to the parents about the importance of the education. More than 50parents and their children are participated in this programme.
Education Help to poor students
Most of the children covered in the project are from nearby villages of Madurai west panchayat Union. Most of the students are from poverty line. Though the government provides necessary infrastructure to inspire the students to come to school regularly, most of them were off from school because of lack of uniform stitching and other necessary learning materials.
To encourage their learning interest, FEDCROT provided those uniforms and study materials such as note books and writing material, and helped them to continue their schooling. For wider coverage and support, a need survey is planned to be taken in the project villages along with the assessment on the need for evening coaching center to be provided in the next academic year onwards.
